Google maps seems to be running in the background on my phone and suggested me to upload a photo from the restaurant I'm in right now. Creepy, and why is it uaing power from the battery for stuff like this?
Google's quest for data is very scary, IMO. https://www.wired.com/2017/04/wholl-really-benefit-verilys-exhaustive-health-study/ It's interesting to know so many developers who are concerned with this type of data collection, yet work for companies building similar systems. A job is a job, though.

That's exactly the kind of stuff why I avoid Android and the Google eco system in general.
I have never seen that, I don't use google maps that much, it was just preinstalled on my phone.

How did you think they are generating *busy* times of a store or even real-time *people in the store now* numbers?
